Lighty2Go has a new release out that has a lot of good news.
Starting off with one of the coolest new features, Lighty2Go should now work if extracted to any location. Thanks to the efforts of Tobbe from the forum L2G should run without issue from just about any path you extract it to.

The next item that was addressed the known issue some of us had seen if you tried to run L2G and CygWin was installed on the PC this item was also commented on here. After doing some testing with some different versions of the cygwin dll’s I believe that I have found one that works fine for both getting LightTPD to run and does not require any
umount
commands to be issued to your CygWin environment.
Anyone that can test this and report success OR failure that would be great.

And last but not least are the packages that were updated for v1.2:
- MySQL 5.0.50 Updated
- PHP 5.2.5 Updated
- OpenSSL 0.9.8g Updated
- phpMyAdmin 2.11.2.2 Updated

So that’s all the news for now – Go grab a copy of v1.2 and give it a run.
Test things like the any path fix and the CygWin fix and let me know what you see in your environments.

Version 1.2 is available here.
