Question Cannot login to phpMyAdmin
Hi,

PC: Windows 2003 R2 Server Enterprise (with all IIS, AntiVirus & Firewalls 'Disabled')

I installed a fresh copy of L2G and the test page works fine Smile

However, when I try to login into phpMyAdmin, it just hangs in a wait state and after 5 minutes nothing happens

Then when I try to access the test page again trying to login into phpMyAdmin it too just hangs in a waiting to load state

Can anyone help?

thnx

RE: Cannot login to phpMyAdmin
OK Couple things --
if you run "Check Servers" does mysql report that it is running OK?
Also - phpMyAdmin needs cookies enabled -

Can you verify those things for me?

RE: Cannot login to phpMyAdmin
OK just found something interesting on a phpMyAdmin site -
Can you try going to:
http://local-ip-of-the-PC/phpmyadmin
Looks like people have seen issues with PMA on Win Server 2003 using http://127.0.0.1

Let me know and I'll keep looking into it.

Thanks

I don't know what my localhost IP is besdies 127.0.0.1

When I am not connected to the internet, my pc shows my localhsot as 127.0.0.1

Summary: when using 127.0.0.1

Startup of both servers - all ok

Checking Servers - all ok

Lighty2Go Test Page - confirmed works & is visable

http://127.0.0.1/phpinfo/ - confirmed works & is visable

http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin/ - confirmed works & is visable

Issue: when I enter username 'root' in the login page at http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin/ the server & page seem to timeout

I also try to goto the Lighty2Go Test Page after this and it is no longer visable

thanks

Hi Tom,

I get the same issue using either localhost or 127.0.0.1

Is there anything else I can try to fix this issue?

Does the default lighttpd-l2g.conf have incorrect info?

Thanks

RE: Cannot login to phpMyAdmin
the default file should have everything correct.
are you using version 1.2?

I have pretty much been able to get all issues fixed so far so this is odd.
Is Win 2003 Server the only OS you have access too? Can you try/test on any other boxes?
Or are you actually trying to "run" LightTPD for real on that box.
If that is the case you may want to try using an "installable version" of Lighty/PHP/MySQL/PMA

Hang in - We'll get it worked out

Hi Tom,

>>the default file should have everything correct. are you using version 1.2?

I am using v1.2

::::Lighty2Go v1.2::::

Version Info
====================
- LightTPD 1.4.18
- MySQL 5.0.50
- PHP 5.2.5
- MiniPerl 5.8.8
- OpenSSL 0.9.8g
- phpMyAdmin 2.11.2.2
====================

>>Can you try/test on any other boxes?

I will try and test on an older Windows 2000 box later on today & report back

>>Are you actually trying to "run" LightTPD for real on that box

I am not sure what you mean by "run" for real but I am trying to get your distro to run (i.e. complete LightTPD, MySQL, PMA, PHP) so I can build and test a website

I won't be using this distro to run the website "live" - I will use a hosting service for that

>> that is the case you may want to try using an "installable version" of Lighty/PHP/MySQL/PMA

What is the best distro all-in-one "installable" version of 'Lighty/PHP/MySQL/PMA'?

I thought Lighty2Go was the best distro? Smile

Or do you mean install each application individually? If so, I was trying to avoid that headache as I know from past experience that installing each individually is more pain than it is worth

Let me know if there is anything else I can try

Thanks
